Questions concerning the Power of Attorney

1.       The Document I signed giving the Power of attorney was a standard one.  Is there any way I can get or pay for a custom made one?

2.       If so, when I asked questions so that I could include conditions in the power of attorney, they were all deemed inappropriate.  How can I find someone to advise me on the right questions to ask? Or the right way to ask my questions? 

3.       Can my brother and his wife be limited as to how much liberty they can have when handling my financial affairs? Like the bank? Or the partition of the property?

4.       In case my brother and his wife are too busy to do something, can they delegate the powers they have to someone else? For example can they have their son take out money from my account?

5.       What steps do I have to take to actively protect my rights, now and if I am incapable of handling my own affairs, if my brother has power of attorney?

6.       Does a new contract have to make if I want to limit or change some of these rights?

7.       Can my brother legally take any amount of money he decides he want to?  And this without regulation? Can somebody do this in his name if he delegates the authority to them, let’s say because he is too busy?

8.       Can the man come and take any amount of money he wants to, and he can do this without anyone questioning him?

9.       Is the bank obligated to control how much money he can take?

10.   What kind of harm can occur from unlimited power of attorney?

11.   Where does the responsibility of the bank start and end?

Questions about the Mandate. Revision 2

Update February 23, 2015:

This document was originally published a while ago  But life goes on and as is natural, I am facing issues with the "Mandate".  The mandate, as it was referred to, was the assigned of the Power of Attorney to my brother. This has been done and paid for and the proper authorities as far as I know have been notified.  As a matter of fact all concerned have just been notified.  So, I grimly take out the contract that I signed.  It is a standard contract and I have difficulty just understanding it.  As for defending myself and the family against any misunderstandings and  making the contract work in the best possible manner I can, I don't even know where to begin. 

So, since my funds are non-existant, I once more look to the free available sources to get legal counsel.  the last time I did this I was confronted by two issues.  either I found a lack of concern about my understanding of the issues.  Or perhaps an incapacity to even know where to begin to explains the issues involved. And this before any potential inflammatory legal procedings.

A second thing that I found was a great unconcern for any importance placed on financial concerns.  where I am, still, mostly my counsel, actually felt, unlike me, that financial concerns were not relevant to one, like me, who asks for free legal counsel.

So I have an appointment with yet another counsel this week, and I dust off the documents I have to show them.  At least I will have something for people to read after I leave, at their own leisure if they care to. 

First challenge.  To see how good a translation Google provides.  Because I am still searching with nothing settled I am loathe to spend an over abundance of time of  an unknown.  So it is Google translation for now.  Which I am delighted they have one.  But it is imperfect, especially at first.  With more clicks and more attention, the quality of the translation will improve they say.  Obviously they too, like myself, have concerns about time and payment.

1. A Reading of the Will

There was a reading of the will.  I was informed by my father that the estate would be cleanly divided into two between me and my brother.

The estate is made up of many valuable things. For example, the country house was designed by Douglas Cardinal, the same man who designed the prize winning Museum of Civilisation in Ottawa.  He was chosen as a compliment to the population of the same origins living in the district.  The city house contains a very expensive collection of antiques and collectibles.

             I left my family home under very bitter circumstances.  At the time, knowing the family and the community, I was sure that I would be forced to come back to the family situation, greatly impoverished, through the means of hypocrisy and force.  It was to avoid more undue coercion that Cardinal was chosen even though his services were very expensive.  Eventually the house, being very important to the community because of its architect, would have a value far superior to the everyday needs of the family that still uses it. 

             I remain on the poverty line and I have been living on the poverty line ever since I left my family homean institution. The estate is worth a large sum of money. I would like to start solving my situation right now by looking into a suitable place to live.

For these reasons, I would like the estate (including both houses) to be liquefied and the proceeds to be split between my brother and me.

I would like access to a financial council handling my part of the family affairs.

I would like to know specifically the value of the various elements of the estate and I would like this on a written contract and updated yearly with the annual audit of the company and the government estate evaluation. I would like the name and address of the financial institution that handles the company’s assets and safety deposit box of family assets.

I would like to have access to conditions that would lead to a fair, just and high evaluation of the estate. 

Question:  Do you, the notary handle this? Should we decide how this will be enforced now? I f not How will this be taken care of? Can you suggest the names of experts who will be able to do it?

 

2.  My Company; the (Unnamed Company)

I have my own art company registered at the city hall and I continue to produce and collect art. I have a great deal of difficulty to hang on long enough to market my line.

For now, I would like another room in my residence as an office.  I currently work out of my tiny bedroom.  It is very demoralizing. (The price for another room in the residence is about $560.00 a month, all included)

I want access to a quality computer system with software for artists, an art lawyer, and a copyright for my work, contracts, a librarian, permanent storage space and a financial advisor.

Question:  Does the notary have the resources to improve the situation? If not, does the notary have the resources to delegate funds to have the situation improved when I receive the estate?

3. A copy of the will for myself

I did not ask for a copy of the will at the time of the reading.  As a notary, I understand that you have access, to a list that states the name of my father’s notary at the time his last will was read

Question:  Can you give me the name of my father’s notary so that I can request, as a named beneficiary, a copy of the will for myself?  Or can you as a notary give me a copy of the will?

4.  anA Proper Living Arrangement

I do not do housework. I do not cook.  I would like to live in a residence with these services.  But I do not want to live in a tiny room like I do. 

I am an adult and I am extremely uncomfortable in a twin bed.  I would like a room that comfortably fits at least a queen size bed.

Question:  Do you, the notary handle this? Should we decide how this will be done now? I f not How will this be taken care of? Can you suggest the names of experts who will be able to do it?

5. Personal poverty.

 

28 years oThe institutions that I have been placed in believe in personal poverty. They place no importance on material possessions such as art and design.   Since I live in my miniscule living working studio all articles take up important space. So loss is routine. Personal effects are thrown out, articles of decoration, linen, clothes and jewels all are distributed to unknown people

I am unable to accept an inheritance from my parents such as my father’s music tapes and my mother’s photographs.   The same is true for a complex estate of valuables and my own fairly large collection of art.

Question:  Can I demand with the mandate access to a real estate agent to start a research for me a secure place with the possibilities of keeping and nurturing an art collection, a household and healthy living arrangements?F

6. Fund for Place des Arts

When my father was alive I was given funds to go to Place des Arts to enjoy the performances and also to:

a.      Stop my social isolation

b.      Stop being too immersed in poverty

When my father died he said that there would always be money for me to continue this.  However, I was, at that time, forced to stop due to health reasons. A large part remains unused by myself.

Question:  Can the mandate include a Claus that will regulate the money left for Place des arts, to ensure its continued use by myself, and automatically indexed to inflation?

 Question:  Can the unused monies for this fund (since my father’s death) be used retroactively?

 

7.      Health Issues

I also several unhealed medical problems.  I have less than quality glasses, I receive an eye examination every three years in a hospital situation.  I have trouble with my ears. I cannot speak properly. I only think aloud. (I free associate).  I would like a therapist.

I would like access to a proper hairdresser and a spa on a regular basis.  I would like to have the money to go to a dermatologist yearly and an ear, nose and throat specialist. I would like to have an examination by a bone specialist on a yearly basis.

I would like guaranteed access to an exercise facility year round.  I do not have the ability to go to a skating ring or a gym membership in the winter

I have not been on a vacation in years. And for decade I have not been anywhere for two weeks.  I would like access to a vacation spot for special people like myself, a guaranteed safe one, according to my preferences, at least twice a year if not more.

 

You can also leave instructions in the mandate for council to restrict the use of painful, controlling drugs and actively look into long term residences. Now, before any trouble.

Question:  Can the notary indicate that funds should be used to regulate these lacks with proper, qualified and accessible resources? To get for example, medical specialists, and qualified travel agents with the necessary experience for my situation, etc.

8.      Confiscation of Funds Earned or Given to Me.

There have been many times that large amounts of money have been taken by powerful others like members of religious orders (the home I live in is one), family members, a   bank and established thieves.

For example a gentleman offered to give me a gift and asked me what I would like.  I said I live in work in a tiny room and I would like the room decorated so that I could be more comfortable.  A sister of the order was there and she said I could not ask for this.  She then asked me for a suggestion of what I would like to do with the money. Unfortunately, since this was not my choice, I asked for an improved children’s pool which would make the sisters very popular with the community. The problem repeats itself throughout the years. The money went to the pool years ago, someone I do not know at all took the credit for the gift, and to this very day I live and work in a very crowded miniscule room. Meanwhile for years large sums of money continue to come in for the pool and parks connected to it. When the opportunity presented itself it was siphoned into a politically popular move for the order and nothing at all was done to solve my personal situation. Not only that, the opportunity like that does not come for me often and I am more and more unable to speak.

The standard response to any complaint I manage to get out is that you should not complain because the park was made for you. 

And I approach old age rapidly.

This document has a list of the many things that still are not taken care of and if the money is directed elsewhere, they never will be.

Question:  Can the notary state clearly that if money is destined for me then it should not be taken by any other person or order? That money destined for me should be first and foremost be used by me according to my wishes and needs?

 

ANNEXE

Preventing future attacks

(I find myself at this time, relatively free from violent attacks.  It is however a situation that is very prominent at all levels very close to me and still. Self defence, and actually, freedom from violent encounters is a task that I have the time and the need to preoccupy myself with. )

The past attacks by family members and the high level of competiveness among family members can only lead me to assume and seeing, unless controlled, will occur again. Especially if money is involved.  

My name since childhood has been (Unnamed) but the family that has used the name for decades did not have this name.  Our relationship is not based on deep family roots

The attacks on myself for personal gain by surrogate family members include:

·         Being brainwashed to accept these people as my family members with the family name.

·         Kidnappings to maximum security prisons in the USA

·         An attempt to confine me in room until I starve to death.

 

1.      Can a mandate include regulations to deal with any incidences of this in the future?

2.      Can the will have a clause on the event of any violent attack whether successful or not, perpetuated on me by a family member of a supporter of the family.

 

Our Take on the German Underground

We were, as the expression goes, a rag tag, motley crew.  A dying elderly man, his mad daughter,(the writer), a down and out Salvation Army Hospital Doctor, and an unknown man with military background who knew how to live and work with those who have a compelling death wish.

Our Mission

There was a prominent German politiician who was just on the verge of a brilliant career. We had to get her granddaughter away from a life of crime so that she could go on to success.  If the teenager would continue the way she was going it was clear her father, the politicians much beloved son, would be in great peril.  If this politician would lose her son, she would not be able to work.

We had to go underground in germany and get this girl, from this place, back from the brink of ruin of herself and her family.

Surprisingly, even to myself, the person who knew a fair amount of the German underground was myself. What I knew were several things.

An underground figure that instilled fear and horror could be a wide range of things.  A horrible underground person could be the classic monster personality like Frankenstein  or Little Caesar or Anthony Perkins character in Psycho. But very often people were very much afraid or horrified by harmless things.  I had, as a movie star, had dealings with the African community in America.  These were people who had a very casual relationship with nudity and sexuality.

To them, a naked black man was just that.  But in the right circumstances it could fulfill the wildest dreams of any sex filmaker. All they had to do, was get into the right circumstances and make boogy man like noises.  Unarmed.  Not even attacking.  Unfortunately just being black and perhaps encountering,  one sheltered, hysterical, German adolescent, with more imagination than savvy.

Like I said before, I had been underground before and we had had very amazing results doing just that.  I think as I recall it was just to verify,if it was true. And brother, it was.

As I think of it, it all has to do with notions of beauty and lack of it.  these notions can be based in reality or not.  To be very scary the actor does not have to aggess or to be ugly. He or she just has to follow a certain formula of ugliness.  It came to me if a black man, a movie star in his prime,by the way, could do this, then it might be conceivable that an old man, a grandfather of eighty seven, might be able to do this.

In their element, they were beautiful.  Out of their element, they could be strange or terrible. We just had to add a certain element of surprise.   So this is what we came up with.

The young girl was not going to attend heer high school prom.  we would force the young girl to go the the prom, in front of everything, with an ugly date.  And the ugly date would be my dying, elderly father.  We would not mention his age.  Just that he was an ugly date.

well it worked perfectly.  The young girl was forced to go to the prom, infull site of all the other teens in her high school with a very ugle date.  He was bald, he had not teeth and he was skinny.

When we got to the prom I made sure that there were a lot of people important to the girl who would mock her because of her ugly date.  I thought that the school authorities would know of the danger and with a little encouragement, her teacher could be recruited to mock her enough and with people she knew that she would be thouroughly mortified.  None of us, except for making the young girl go to the prom on the armo f my father,  would fight at all.

As we hopêd the young girl was horrified.  And like in all good movies, once she was chastened, and we were taken to the authorities to explain things, my father revealed he was, in fact, not only eighty seven years old, he was a grandfather with a brand new baby granddaugher.  the little girl, repented heer ways and she renounced her foray into crime.  enough that her family, which by the way, had always been one of the most affluent families in germany, offered us a generous reward so that my fathers final wishes could be granted and I thought, our teams troubles resolved.

The Mission to Fulfill my Fathers Deathbed Wishes.

My father was dying.  He had been confined to his bed for a couple of years and was horrified to find out that his last wishes would not be granted.  He had been in the hospital so long that he could not express himself anymore.  what was worse the doctor said he could linger on in limbo like this for about a year.

We found a way he would be able to have all his wishes granted.  The proper drug administered would give him a very clear head and the anger to take risks and make the large amount of money he needed.  But this very same drug would end his life more quickly.

The money was needed very fast. On the radio they said that the strongest currency was the Germany Frank and the Japanese yen.  My father had proud European roots and although both countries were unfamiliar,he read alot about Europe. He had no knowledge of Japanese culture but he  could get by with the German tongue. So the place he would go would be Germany.

There was a team of us with him including the doctor that attended him in the hospital, myself and a man who admired and respected my father enough to accompany him on his journey until the very end.  this gentleman was well established in the military circles and unlike myself could work clearly and live after being immersed in death and the death wish.  this would be avery powerful force on the last legs of my fathers journey.  As luck would have it he would be accompagnied to the very end.

We were a haphazard crew of people.  There was me.  I had no family and no friends.  I had only the relationship with my father.

there was the doctor.  He was the one who actually put the whole thing into gear.  This gentleman was working in the Salvation Army hospital, he said because of a situation of financial ruin.  he was the same age as my father. He saw himself suffering the same fate.

This man was not a personal friend of my father or me.  When we started to talk about getting the way and the money to fulfill he death wish the whole task looked impossible.  there was just one dying bed ridden man and a fragile handicapped woman, who also had very little ability to communicate.

I had, after discussion with my father, asked the doctor the following question.  Now, my father was eighty seven years old. According to the European school of thought, he was considered a wise man, because he was over eighty.  »This is in big contrast to the forbidding social system that we were embroiled in.  It seemed there was no patience or tolerance for the confused ramblings of the very elderly.  They did not seem to believe that the very elderly were capable of genius, such as the school of Europe, I heard.of.

We had no money at all. I offered the doctor this proposition.  We have no money.  But my father is eighty seven years old and he believes if given the chance, he could make a huge sum of money, very fast.  If he is given a drug to be able to leave his bed and be clear headed,  he would still need a medical accompagniement.  After all he would be working against his very life essence.

If we are willing to try to get this money would you be willing to take on his case, accompany us to germany.  And give us four days to make the money.  If the money is made, then you will get enough to get rid of all your financial problems.  But you have to believe that the money would be made.

the doctor said yes.  And after that things went very fast.  First of all, this young man who admired my father was known to the hospital.  He would take care of the defense.

The action took place in the Salvation Army Hospital.  So this solved another problem.  Its all very fine to say that we would make the money in the German underground.  but the big question would be what would we do?

Somehow, I don't know how, we were given this task.  There was a prominent German politiician who was just on the verge of a brilliant career.  She had lost her husband and had only her son left from her immediate family.  As long as her son was alive, she could handle anything.  but if he died she thought she would simply give up.  And the brilliant opportunity would be lost.

Now this son had a wife and a family.  The family had gone through a great problem and the young daughter, on the brink of womanhood, had become rebellious. Unfortunately, her father was a police officer or some sort of legal official and the girl had become involved with the underground.  It would take only a second and she could bring her father to ruin and stop her grandmothers political career.

Our mission was to get this girl away from the underground and bring her back to the bosom of the law and her family.

the circumstances surrounding my fathers death.

My father passed away in a Salvation Army hospital. Confined to his bed with cancer he had been there a long time. And the doctor said he could linger on for months if not years.It was very hard for me to get there and I did not come often. My mother would not visit him anymore. Mostly it was my brother alone who came to visit him in his final days.  Often he was accompanied by his own family.

There were a few of us watching the wretched man confined in his bed. Day after day after month.  He did not accept any of the activities of the hospital.   He was suffering greatly from terminal prostate cancer.

No one understood anymore what he was saying and why he was grieving. There was no one to understand what he wanted done.  There was no money to get it done. He had no money or anything to leave to his heirs.

When I arrived one time my father started crying.   My father did not cry in front of me often so I was very affected.

The solution to the problem

I have Hungarian roots.  The Opium Poppy can grant one a merciful death and that is why the national flower of Hungary is this flower.  If you are dying, with its proper use, you can die relatively painless. I knew a way that this infirm and feeble man could get everything he wanted.

The 87 year old was asked if he could make the money to solve his problems if he had the energy to leave his bed.  He replied it was a piece of cake.

So we asked the patient’s accompanying doctor, if he would be willing to defer any advance payment.  Would he go with my father, to help him create enough money to pay the doctor any sum of money he asked for and earn the way to die the way him, himself wanted?  

The doctor had lost his money and found his job very tough. He was also very old like my father.  He would be willing to, administer the drug, and also to go with him on a voyage to find the money.  At the end of this journey my father would die.  And he would be buried according to his wishes.

My contribution to the problem

You see, I, the Heroine, made it possible for him do many things. He would, first of all, be able to get out of the bed.  The man could barely move. He could barely talk.  He had been bedridden for a long time.

He would also think very clearly.  He would have a crystal clear mind.  He would be able to conduct business at a high level.

The drug would make him furious. The drug would be painful.  Death and pain were there anyways. They had been there a long time. And they would never leave him.

He chose the Opium. He could use his wits and his experience and arrange his death the way he wanted.

Epilogue

My father made an enormous amount of money in the few days he had left.  Enough to be buried according to his wishes.  Even more he had enough money to donate a whole brand new graveyard to the Jewish people so that he could be buried with style and grace.

The events before the meeting with the Public Curator

two weeks ago we had a meeting.  I was told I was to discuss the idea of my brother taking care of my affairs in case anything happened to me.  It was to be a basic signing a document, so that he could do things like pay the rent if I got sick or make sure the bank fees are paid.  Or do any outstanding bills.

Also there was to be the formal signing of the family wills.

He said, before the meeting, write down all your questions on it so that the notary could answer.

A little signing of a paper.  A small state of affairs.  So I come with eight carefully phrased questions. This little paper which took me all of eight minutes to read, took the whole two weeks to compile and when I came to the meeting, it was not finished.

My Questions and Concerns at the Meeting with the Public Curator

So I read my questions.  They were mostly questions that were asked about how I could make sure that my own safety was kept care of..  One by one, the notary refused to anwer them and said they were inapporpriate to the situation.  These questions raised serious concerns about my personal safety if I gave my brother  access to my financial affairs.

Finally the document they want me to sign was named, This small document is the Power of Attorney.  Among other things, as I can see (I asked for a copy) it says my brother can administer my affairs without asking me and take and receive things for me without my knowledge). In other words he has free access to all the money in my bank accounts.  He can take what he wants without my permission.  Anytime.

Why I didn`t want to sign the document

I really had no desire to sign any such document. My brother has been working furiously with my mother for a long time now.  He has been refining the house and keeping care of her in the best comfort she could have as she dies.  Thank God he and his family were there.

He has also been making sure that the estate is taken care of according to the wishes of my mother (him).  And that his wife and children are kept care of.  This is a large responsability and I do not see there is much left to keep care of for myself.  For example in the whole extensive estate I do not think i will have anything physical to inherit to remember my parents.

My blog on the Estate

 My brother says that the whole estate is full of ."junk". This junk which my brother says no one wants. So I wrote a blog about the "junk" that my parents surrounded themselves with,
 In it are many photographsa large description of the house and what inside it. there are also stories about the social life of my father and mother.

I always knew that there was a chance malicious others would use the blog for their own  purposes. For example many people have mentioned it might encourage theft.

But I had a choice. I could remain silent.  And let people assume that I didn`t know the value of the estate.. t this would give the people the impression that I do not want or desire a house and thye beautiful things that are necessary for elegant living.

This is far from the case.  As a matter of fact, in the past, this assumption has caused me a great deal of anguish.

What was more there was a large amount of money left after all his wishes were granted so that he could leave some money to others after he, my brother and myself were taken care of.

What happened to all that money?

I never heard anything about this either.  What happened to this enormous sum of money remains a mystery except that I have no contact with all the wonderful people that accompanied him and myself on his final voyage.  I never saw them again.  Nor again, say anything of the money.  Except a large graveyard where he buried with only his grave saying he ever existed.  Or created and paid for the graveyard.

First Meeting: Deciding what will go into the documents

So what happens?   We have a meeting to write the contract of Power of attorney in which any questions asked can be answered and the documents would be created according to what was decided..

Anything I asked to included is refused by no other than the very high Public Notary.  A very important, distinguished woman.  Brilliant and powerful.  Nothing I ask for can be done.  Everything I asked for in inappropriate.

She says we have to meet again so that I can sign the power of attorney to my brother.   My brother says he wants my mother to come and we arranged a meeting. It would be my brother, his wife, my mother and the Public Curator.

Second Meeting: Signing  the Final Documents  

So two weeks later, yesterday, we met.  There were several documents to be signed.  Although I am told that the power of attorney should be given to someone else only as a last resort,I gave the power of attorney to my brother and his wife.  Are relationship is strained but I am functionally mute and do not have a single other person to do this.  The Public Curator says that to be under his jurisdiction should be avoided at all costs.  So I have no choice and I sign the power of attorney to my brother and his wife.

The terms of my Mothers will

My mother comes up with the will.  these are the terms.

My brother and his wife will be left the very expensive city house and I am sure everything in it.  All the valuable, antiques etc.. This is a huge part of the estate.  They already have many thing including the  two cars (my fathers was brand new) and everything they want in the house. Certainly they have use of all the things in both houses.  I have not received anything from the estate nor am I using anything that is in it.

My mothers will says after this has been given, cart blanch, to my brother and his wife, I will have half of everything else in the estate. Divided equally between me and by brother.  the country house, the business the industrial building and the monies.

I will be given to live off every month a pension of $1500.00 to be regulated by my brother. The rest of the money is to be put in trust and I cannot touch it.  At the end of my life it will go to his children.
The money will be invested and it will be regulated by my brother. If the investments go up it will go up.  The money will be invested by a stock broker.  They explained that I will be receiving $1500 a month for the rest of my life and this a large sum of  $300,000.00. So that's a large sum. And thats all I will get.

The problem with my mothers Will

Nothing of the estate will be left to me: no jewelry, no mementos, no computer, no furniture. Nothing.

First of all this is a sum that is below the poverty line.  Second of all I am to relay on the judgement of my brother. As it stands now I have received nothing from the estate at all.

What they have decided,him and my mother, that it is guaranteed that I will have money, dependent on his generosity to live on the poverty line as it stands today without being indexed for inflation until the rest of my life.

I will have nothing else from the estate that I can use according to my will. Unless I discuss with my brother.  At this time I refuse to do it.

He, however, can do whatever he likes . I have no say at all what happens with anything that remotely resembles "my half".

About the Poverty Line

$1500.00 a month is a sum that is below the poverty line.  This means that I will have to rely on my brother and his familys judgement.

There has already been talk about myself not giving enough to the family.  There has been talk about the proper role of a spinster (myself) is to work »(unpaid) for the family.  there has already been talk of my cleaning their house and keeping care of the children, without talk of the amount of the hours demanded.  This has been interpreted as myself not giving enough to the family.

If I do not maintain connections with the family, even if the relationship deteriorates into an exploitative one, I will not be able to live a life with even the basic necessities.

One of the direct results of my brother and  my mother handling the estate is that there is no money given to transporting some of the possessions my mother does not use to me.  This is what is happening now because my mother lives only on the bottom half of the house.   I am afraid that there is a large probability this will continue in the future.

And I wonder if its legal to provide a "pension" before the poverty line. I am to live without even the social welfare system to bear witness to what will happen.

Accept the terms of My mothers will or to refuse it?

If I refuse the will  I will be retired from the last resort financial assistance i have now.  I also will not be entitled to get any support from the family.  they will not have to do this after sixty four years old.  this means I will have to wear the clothes of  a life long pauper.  This is why I think the sum is $1500.  This means I am a dedicated pauper. And to me this intolerable.  Unfortunately it is my experience that what is intolerable to myself is not necessarily thought as important to a sometimes merciliess system.

Last month was a month dedicated to mental health awareness.  The most obvious organization  connected to mental health issues  in Montreal is called Ami Quebec. By the way, I must congratulate Ami Quebec on their beautiful clean website.  Its a pleasure to visit.   Here's the link:

Note: I just called them and they are an organization that deals specifically with the caregivers. However the lady that answered the phone gave me a couple of numbers  to call in case you have questions about your own rights.

Some of the issues I have questions about are as follows:

I had a pretty close family connection with one member. My deceased father.  I see now the rest of the members of the family very little.  My brother about every two weeks and my mother maybe three times a year.

 The Need to Explain Unclear Situations

I would like paid counsel to be able to clearly explain issues to me. I am finding counsel that does not explain things to me in a way that I understand.

1. I am signing many official documents about financial matters. I do not understand these documents. I would like  these documents explained in a manner clear to me.  I would like to know the way my rights can be protected.
2. My father was supposed to have left a will.  Now I am being there is no will. 
3. My brother says I have no family support. Then what am I receiving now?  
4. The trip to my parents house is three hours by bus. I would like access to funds for a taxi to check on the estate and my mother from time to time.
5. I would like the division of property clearly stated. I would like to have figures as to how much we are talking about. If this is not practical I would like to know why not.  
6. I would like their worth of the property assessed so that if I cannot physically use them myself I can benefit from them financially.
